Project Overview
The Uniqlo Pop-Up Store at Washington Union Station represents a convergence of a century-old historic landmark and contemporary retail, as well as a dialogue between commercial space and local culture.
As the general contractor for this project, Sunny Unite was fully aware of the challenges imposed by both time and space constraints. Union Station is a designated historic landmark, and the renovation was subject to stringent preservation and regulatory requirements. From the demolition of existing structures to redesign, construction, and opening to the public, the entire construction period was limited to just three weeks.
From the very beginning, the project was a race against time. Through close collaboration with the Uniqlo team, Sunny Unite systematically addressed and resolved uncertainties throughout the process, ensuring the successful and on-schedule opening of the pop-up store.
